Do you Remember……

Do you remember a young boy or girl who had dreams and a vision of what they wanted to achieve. Do you remember working hard, training hard, putting in a great deal of effort in order to be successful. To be the best.

Do you remember getting to that place where all your work was just about to realise itself. You were about to fulfil the dream. But you had a different feeling. Perhaps you didn’t have that fulfilled excited feeling. Perhaps you felt there was something more?

Just when you were on the edge of fulfilling the life time dream you realised that you wanted to do more. You wanted to do it differently. Instead of feeling liberated. You were feeling restricted.

As you progressed you saw a new and different way of doing things. But those around you, family, friends, neighbours, everyone who knew you, wanted you to stay the same. Wanted you to stick with the same dream. The dream you had always had.

But the problem was you had outgrown the dream. You wanted to go further. You wanted to keep pushing the boundaries. You were proud of what you had achieved but knew you were capable of more. Knew you could improvise. Knew you could push the boundaries. Knew you could achieve more than the dream. The dream was just the start not the end. The dream was the vehicle for further discovery.

We all reach this stage in our lives. The time when we know we are capable of doing so much more with our lives The time when we feel that the roof, the ceiling is too low. We have to shatter it. We have to move on.

When this happens all most of us need is that remote voice that is willing to back us. That one solitary person who can see the potential within us. The one person who is willing to back us and assist us to move on.

Although we are each responsible for our own decisions and our own lives we all need that someone to give us that vote of confidence.

Someone to just tell us what we already know. Someone to tell us that we are capable. Someone to tell us that we are not crazy.

We just need a person to believe in us. To understand that we have to do this.
